Horizon Health, Inc. Announces Scholarship Opportunities
for Class of 2010
Horizon Health, Inc. a non-profit health care provider announces six health care scholarships for graduating seniors. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $250.00 each to graduating seniors chosen from each of the following Morrison County Schools: Little Falls, Pierz, Royalton, Staples/Motley, Swanville and Upsala. High School seniors who plan to continue their education to pursue careers in health services, social work, or long term care are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have maintained a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan on a program lasting nine months or more. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of scholastic and school achievement, home and community involvement, and an essay describing their educational goals. Students may obtain scholarship application forms from their high school counselor or Horizon Health.
Horizon Health Services, headquartered in Pierz, serves over 330 people a day in Morrison, Mille Lacs, Todd and Crow Wing counties. Their mission is to seek out and create needed services for area seniors and those that are disabled.
